Don’t Forget Your Flu Shot this Year. Schedule an appointment in MyChart!

Sep 27, 2024 / Health Advice

The flu is a serious illness that should never be taken lightly. The best way to protect yourself (and your loved ones) is with a simple flu shot. This is especially important if you are pregnant or have a chronic condition like asthma, diabetes, CHF or COPD. Although you may still get the flu after being vaccinated, it will be less severe and help you avoid the risk of serious complications. The shot itself does not give you the flu, the vaccine is safe to administer. Everyone six months and older should get a flu shot, as recommended by the CDC.

Flu shots are available at all Reliant primary care offices. You can also schedule an appointment for a flu shot through MyChart or by calling your primary care provider’s office.
