A graduate of MCPHS University, Abigail has worked in healthcare since 2013. She became an advanced practitioner because she wanted to help people suffering from orthopedic problems overcome obstacles to an active and healthy lifestyle.
Abigail has always enjoyed the hands-on aspect of practicing in orthopedics. “I really enjoy working closely with patients, doing a thorough examination, and helping to uncover what’s wrong,” she explains. “I come from an active family, so I know from experience that most people will eventually experience some sort of orthopedic problem. That helps me relate to my patients and their different issues.”
Abigail helps patients suffering from osteoarthritis of the knee, shoulder and hip, sports injuries such as ACL tears, adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder), knee pain, shoulder pain, ankle sprains and ankle fractures. Some of the procedures that Abigail can perform include intra-articular knee injections and shoulder injections. She also assists surgeons in total knee replacements and total hip replacements.
Abigail believes in giving patients the information and education they need to better understand their diagnosis and treatment options and help them actively participate in their care. She enjoys the collaborative approach Reliant uses to help patients resolve their orthopedic problems. In her spare time, Abigail enjoys gardening, birding, hiking, and camping.
