A provider may not have star ratings accompanying his/her website profile for one or more of the following reasons:
“As an internist, no matter what type of problem comes your way you have the broad knowledge to either help the patient or send them to the correct specialist who can.”
When he was growing up in North Carolina it was some volunteer EMS work and an interest in science that helped get Dr. Arnab Saha started on a medical career. “The EMS work helped show me what helping others was all about and I was also really passionate about my science classes in school,” he explains. “I thought medicine would be the ideal career for me since I love using my scientific knowledge and creativity to help others.”
One of the reasons Dr. Saha likes being an Internal Medicine physician is that he gets to see the overall picture of a patient’s health and has the ability to treat a wide range of different ailments. “As an internist, no matter what type of problem comes your way you have the broad knowledge to either help the patient or send them to the correct specialist who can,” he explains. “It’s that overall ability that really drew me to practicing as an internist.”
At Reliant Dr. Saha always makes an effort to tailor his treatment around the patient. “It’s about making that connection and allowing the patient to decide what kind of goals they have in mind for their own health,” he explains. “My job is to present the information and what options are available. However, it’s the patient’s choice on how they want to manage their lifestyle and their own health. Often, you have to meet halfway with a patient and work together to achieve your goals.
At Reliant Dr. Saha is part of the Virtual Primary Care team which sees patients predominantly using video visits but also in the office when appropriate. “I think you can provide excellent care with this new approach to medicine with the technology we have now. The key is using virtual care in a way that’s best for the patient. I also enjoy seeing patients in the office when needed so this hybrid style of working is great for me.”
When he is not busy at Reliant Medical Group Dr. Saha enjoys running, kayaking and music. He also loves to travel and explore different places.
