A graduate of Anna Maria College and Assumption College, Bridget is a clinical therapist with a specialization in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and children and families.
Asked why she decided to study to become a therapist, Bridget explained, “To be able to help guide individuals into becoming the most authentic and complete versions of themselves possible is really just one of the most rewarding careers in the world for me.”
Many of Bridget’s patients struggle with issues such as depression and anxiety. “Those that struggle with significant mental health problems often feel as though there is no hope for them to build a life worth living,” she explains. “Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) have been proven to open up doors for individuals that previously were thought to be untreatable. I love that these therapies are challenging old beliefs and really revolutionizing therapy as we once knew it in a very well thought out and empirically based way. I enjoy working collaboratively with my patients to help them build a life worth living that they themselves define.”
In her spare time Bridget enjoys being with her family. On the weekends she often goes horseback riding. Bridget also loves music and is a trained vocalist and plays a number of instruments as well.
