Dr. Fuller has moved to the 3rd floor.
Dr. Elizabeth Fuller’s medical career began when she started studying to be a nurse after leaving the Air Force. However, she soon decided to become a doctor. “When I began studying nursing and became more exposed to the medical profession, I decided that medical school would be a better choice for me.”
A warm and engaging physician, Dr. Fuller strives to make each patient feel comfortable when they visit. “Some people are nervous when they visit the doctor so I try to help them relax. That way, they are more likely to confide in you about what is really bothering them,” she explains. “I often get nervous when going to the doctor, so I know how they feel.”
One of the health problems that concerns Dr. Fuller the most is smoking. “You basically have a healthy person, but because they smoke they carry all the increased risks of developing the diseases associated with smoking. I will sometimes help a patient calculate the money they are investing for this increased risk of chronic lung disease, cancer and vascular disease. It certainly is a goal of mine to help them quit smoking. But they have to be ready themselves to quit, and I feel it’s my job to help them get to that point.”
Dr. Fuller enjoys all the resources that Reliant Medical Group provides for her practice. “We have a great group of providers here and there is easy access to the specialists and services needed. Reliant has always been a leader in the patient-centered approach to care in our often challenging healthcare environment. I am happy to be back on the Reliant team.”
