A graduate of Anna Marie College and MCPHS University, Glen has been practicing medicine since 2008. Glen became an advanced practitioner so he could better help patients with their acute and chronic illness management. “I wanted to focus more on health improvement,” he explains. “Much of health improvement focuses on building relationships with patients, educating them about their comorbidities and how to manage them at home, and empowering them to become their own experts for their chronic medical conditions.” In his work at Reliant Glen enjoys providing patient-centered care. “I really strive to know patients and their families. I consider the whole family as crucial to any patient relationship,” he explains.
When working with his patients each day Glen strives to be an active listener. “I make a point to listen carefully to what my patients are trying to tell me and then educate them about their concerns,” he explains. “I like to focus on a holistic approach of care to include the elements: sociocultural, psychological, physiological, spiritual, and developmental aspects that should be incorporated into the care. In theory, health should be achieved when all these variables are in balance.” In his spare time Glen enjoys being with family and friends, reading books, listening to music, walking his dog, and traveling.
