Grace Snell works exclusively in our labor and delivery department.
A graduate of Macalester College, Washington University, and the Yale School of Nursing, Grace decided to become a certified nurse midwife because she wanted to help women maximize their own sense of health and well-being before, during, and after their childbearing years. “I strive to help all women feel strong and empowered while they are having their babies.”
According to Grace, shared decision-making is central to her practice. “I work to make recommendations that patients can implement in the context of their lives,” she explains. “I want to meet patients where they are in life and without judgement. I also strive to be aware of how women’s various life experiences or trauma histories require an individualized approach to care.” Grace says that her favorite part of being a midwife is witnessing the strength of women during every phase of life. In her spare time Grace enjoys reading, running, eating good food, and enjoying family life with her husband and two children.
