Jennifer has always enjoyed working with children and helping others. After graduating from college, she joined Teach for America and taught in Chicago for two years. “While I enjoyed teaching, I realized that my passion really lies with the connections I made with my students and the interpersonal relationships I had with them,” she explains. “I decided to pursue a degree in psychology so that I could become more knowledgeable about supporting the social-emotional functioning of children and their families.”
In her work with patients Jennifer believes in using an integrative, individualized approach to care. “Above all, I value attention to each individual’s needs, fostering the therapeutic alliance, and flexibility in the therapy.” Jennifer has extensive training in neuropsychological assessment and in providing individual, group and family therapy. “I utilize psychodynamic talk and play therapy, as well as cognitive-behavioral modalities. My assessment repertoire includes a plethora of cognitive, academic, neuropsychological, and social-emotional/protective measures. I am also trained in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule.”
In her free time Jennifer enjoys cooking, doing Bikram yoga, seeing musicals, and spending time with her family on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee.
