Holding a post-graduate degree from the SDM College of Physiotherapy, Jomy was fascinated from an early age about how the human body worked. “I was quite interested in understanding the physiology behind everything,” she explains. “I would say, for me, it was a natural calling.” Jomy enjoys helping patients with their rehabilitation, whether from a chronic illness or an injury. She has a sub-specialty in Adult Neurology rehabilitation and her special interests include Pediatrics and Orthopedic rehabilitation.
Jomy is experienced in helping people recover from stroke, TBI, spinal cord diseases and disorders, cerebral palsy, torticollis, shoulder injuries, and knee and back problems. Jomy says her philosophy of care is to always understand the issues the patient is experiencing. “I make a point to treat the individual as a whole rather than just the disease or injury,” she explains. Jomy enjoys using technology in her practice and feels it helps her track her patient’s condition and progress better.
Jomy is multi-lingual and speaks many Indian languages including Hindi, Marathi, Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada, as well as English. Jomy believes that the best part of her job is watching her patients progress every visit and being able to lead them to their former level of functioning. Jomy loves working at Reliant and says the facilities as well as the support and encouragement she has received from her team members is the best she has experienced anywhere.
