A graduate of the Chicago Medical School as a physician assistant, Kristin enjoys helping patients find better health. “I went into medicine because of the reward of helping people,” she explains. “My patients often comment that I am a good listener and advocate. When I was young I had some health problems and was told that it was ‘all in my head.’ I promised myself I would never tell a patient that for any reason. I strive to treat all my patients with respect as if they were members of my own family.”
Working in the Internal Medicine department, Kristin has a special interest in treating gastroenterology and rheumatology issues. She loves being a physician assistant because each patient is like a puzzle. “I get to solve puzzles in collaboration with the patient,” she explains. When she is not busy seeing patients, Kristin enjoys being a mom, playing tennis, hiking, kayaking, skiing, gardening and biking.
