A graduate of Saint Joseph’s College and Frontier Nursing University, Lynne had ten years of experience as a labor and delivery nurse before becoming a midwife. “I worked with midwives in a professional environment as a nurse and I also delivered my daughter with a midwife,” she explains. “After having such wonderful experiences with the midwives, I knew that one day I wanted to offer women the same compassionate care that I had received.” Lynne chose to become a midwife because she enjoys working with women and empowering them to be active participants in their care. “It’s important for me and the women and families I serve to recognize that they are influential members of their health care team.” Lynne believes that the most rewarding aspect of her profession is the opportunity to be with women and their families throughout one of the most pivotal times in their life. “It’s really an honor to help guide new life into the world.” In her spare time Lynne loves walking and hiking and being outdoors. She also enjoys reading, music and sports, and spending time with her children.
