A graduate of the University of Connecticut and MCPHS University, Maureen worked as a nursing assistant for three years before becoming an advanced practitioner.
Maureen decided to become a physician assistant because she always had a passion for science and working with others. “I also wanted a challenging career that allows me to connect with others and make a positive impact on their lives,” she explains. Maureen’s main area of expertise is internal medicine. “I have always been intrigued by how the body’s systems affect one another. I like to approach medicine as one integrated system and use this idea to promote healthy lifestyles in my patients.”
Maureen works hard to treat each patient like they were a member of her own family. She loves the fact that every day is full of new challenges and new opportunities to help patients in a meaningful way. “I always strive to provide compassionate care that promotes positive interactions and outcomes,” she explains. In her spare time Maureen enjoys running, skiing, reading, and cooking. “I also love to travel and explore new places with my friends and family.”
