Since she was young, Nouha has always been fascinated by medicine. “Having grown up abroad in a country where medicine is not always available to everyone, I was drawn to becoming a medical provider,” she explains. “Now I enjoy using my skills to help people.”
Nouha has a strong background in both biology and public health. “I chose these areas of study because they help me view my patients from an all-encompassing perspective,” she explains. “By understanding that socioeconomic statuses, genetics, and environments all contribute to a patient’s physical and mental health, particularly during childhood, we are able to provide the best kind of care for our patients.”
Nouha says that one of her jobs as a physician assistant is to be her patient’s biggest advocate. “By being open-minded and truly listening to patients, I can be their liaison with the healthcare system. My profession is rewarding in a variety of ways, but I really enjoy being part of a child’s growth and development as they progress through childhood. Their resilience through mental and physical challenges is an inspiration to me, and it gives meaning to my job as a primary care provider.”
When she is not busy with patients, Nouha enjoys spending time with her family and her dog “Bailey.” She also loves to bake and is an avid reader. Nouha tends to shy away from the snow, but loves to be outdoors when the weather is nice, especially at the beach or lake.
