A graduate of Becker College and Cambridge College, Queen is very dedicated to helping people overcome their drug and alcohol problems. “Helping those struggling to remain substance-free can be rewarding in so many ways” she explains. “I enjoy being a support system to my patients while providing education, intervention and prevention techniques. It is important to me to provide client-centered therapy whether that means abstinent-based counseling or harm reduction (e.g. stabilization and maintenance with medication-assisted treatment).”
Queen believes it is important to build a strong foundation to help people deal with life and its various stressors. “Successful recovery needs something to build on – from support and education to reducing triggers such as emotions and finances; whatever it may be its important to identify a starting point,” she explains. “To me, being able to identify a foundation is a big step towards the ultimate goal of achieving a better quality of life.”
Queen enjoys being part of Reliant Medical Group and being a resource in the community. In her spare time she enjoys recreating childhood memories with her son.
