Dr. Harris has been practicing with the organization for over 25 years. She became interested in primary care as a medical student while spending time in rural Alaska caring for patients in remote areas who had limited access to medical care.
“I feel privileged to be able to care for multiple generations of families with whom I’ve developed relationships over many years,” Dr. Harris explains. “I love the variety and challenge of practicing primary care as I am able to care for people of all ages with a wide range of medical and preventive health issues”.
Teaching the next generation of physicians has always been important to Dr. Harris. She is a member of the faculty of UMass Medical School and serves as a mentor to first and second-year medical students.
Dr. Harris has a Master’s Degree in Public Health and has served on the Framingham Board of Health for many years.
Dr. Harris is an avid gardener and nature photographer and enjoys biking, swimming, cross-country skiing, and traveling.
