This group is an introductory for individuals interested in learning about the Reliant Medical Group Bariatric Program. Participants are provided with an overview of the Bariatric Program with an introduction to weight management. This class covers the surgical and non-surgical tracks of the Bariatric Program and is followed by individual counseling sessions with a registered dietitian. Topics include achieving a healthier weight by establishing personal behavior change goals tailored to fit individual lifestyles and needs, as well as, preparation for bariatric surgery. Participants also have an opportunity for questions.

This monthly group is for individuals that have had bariatric surgery in the Reliant Medical Group Bariatric Program and led by trained facilitators. Participants are also given an opportunity to have questions addressed by the multidisciplinary bariatric team including a bariatric surgeon, a behavioral health specialist and a registered dietitian.

Do you need help managing your weight? This class is an introduction to weight management where participants learn about healthy eating habits and behaviors that promote improved health and wellness. After attending the class, you are encouraged to meet with one of our registered dietitians where you will receive individualized nutrition education and learn how to set appropriate nutrition and exercise goals.

This class is offered monthly and is for individuals with newly diagnosed pre-diabetes or diabetes or those who have been living with Diabetes for years. Topics include blood sugar management, meal planning, understanding nutrition labels, carbohydrate counting, as well as, the benefits of exercise.

Do you need help managing your blood cholesterol, triglycerides and/or blood pressure? This class offers participants education on the various types of fats and low-sodium eating, label reading, recipe modification, physical activity and dining out to help manage blood cholesterol, triglycerides and blood pressure to lower your risk of heart disease.
