Building Tomorrow’s Healthcare Experience…Today

Exterior of buildingBy 2019, many of our medical offices will have relocated to new, modern buildings. This is causing a lot of excitement among our providers and staff, and we hope among our patients too! As excited as we are to move into new buildings, we are most enthusiastic about bringing into these new facilities more efficient processes and procedures that will enhance the way we deliver care to our patients.

To learn as much as we can, we’ve actually constructed two modular experiential clinical settings at our Plantation Street, Worcester site, which we call “model cells.”  In these model cells, several providers are working with patients to test new ways of doing things. We are looking at everything from how patients check in, to the kinds of services we provide right in the exam room, to how our clinicians and staff communicate with each other.

Most importantly, we are learning how to further refine our team approach to healthcare. Specifically, we are developing an enhanced “team care model” where physician-led teams of various caregivers – including advanced practitioners, nurses, medical assistants and others – all share in the care of patients.

At Reliant, we truly are building tomorrow’s healthcare experience, today.

Architectural Rendering

Below is a rendering of what our future care team space and exam rooms may look like. The team room in the center is where the care team members – physicians, advanced practitioners, nurses, medical assistants and others – will work side by side in a highly collaborative manner. This space is designed specifically to promote real-time communications among caregivers, which will provide many efficiencies for patients, providers and staff. The exam rooms will be located around the team room, giving caregivers easy access to patients. An architectural rendering showing the inside of the new building.
