A graduate of Hamilton College and MCPHS University, Sandy was inspired to become a physical therapist after spending her summer volunteering at a specialized preschool. She is a firm believer that children should not be held back from anything, but that they should be given the strength and tools to play the way that they want. She has taken a special interest in working with children with genetic conditions and neurological disorders and wants to help them push the limits of what they can do to help them live a more active and independent life.
To do this, Sandy utilizes a combination of vibration therapy, myofascial/massage therapy, DMI therapy, reflex integration, bracing/orthotic management and sensory-based approaches. Another area of special interest is in the management of childhood bladder and bowel disorders. She is passionate about helping children overcome their issues with bladder/bowel incontinence, night-time bed-wetting and chronic constipation to feel confident and in control of their own bodies.
