A graduate of Fitchburg State University and MCPHS University, Brianna always had an innate drive to help those in need. “If I can assist with making someone’s quality of life better in any way, I will do so,” she explains. “For me, being an occupational therapist is more than helping someone complete a daily task. It is allowing someone to live his or her life to the absolute fullest – that to me is the best job anyone could have.”
Brianna believes that it is important to consider the patient as a whole and to utilize one’s strengths in order to work through weaknesses. “It is vital to incorporate client-centered, purposeful and meaningful activities into each session. I also believe it is important to consider the patient’s personal, environmental and occupational factors in order to achieve a functional lifestyle for them.”
Brianna loves the versatility that Occupational Therapy (OT) provides. “I enjoy working with those varying in ages, diagnoses, wants and needs. Every day is something new,” she explains. “I really love helping people live the most functional and independent lives they possibly can.” Brianna has a special interest in the orthopedic and neurological areas of OT and looks forward to deepening her knowledge in these specific areas as she progresses in her career.
When she is not busy helping patients, Brianna enjoys hiking local trails with her dog Benny, spending time with family, repurposing furniture and drawing.
