Victoria was originally a pre-med student, but after her aunt suffered an acquired brain injury (ABI) the time spent with her in rehabilitation opened her eyes to the work of occupational therapists. “I saw how her therapists built a great rapport with her and applied their techniques through a holistic lens, and that really appealed to me,” she explains.
Victoria strives to make sure her practice is always evidence-based and centered around her patients. “I like to consult the latest research and blend that into my patients’ goals,” she explains. “I make a point to always be patient-centered and make my patients’ wants and needs the primary focus.”
In her practice at Reliant Victoria has a special interest in working with patients needing neurological, orthopedic and burn therapy. One of the reasons Victoria enjoys Occupational Therapy is that it allows her to provide patient-focused healthcare based on interventions that help people regain or maintain independence in their daily life. “For me, occupational therapy is about intertwining science and creativity to generate a positive outcome for individuals depending on their personal goals. I love helping others find their potential and regain independence using the latest science and evidence-based research.”
In her spare time Victoria enjoys tennis, reading, baking and spending time with her dog Roger. “I love to stay active by hiking, walking, and working out, I ran the Boston Marathon in 2018. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends and catching up on my favorite TV shows.”
