Kaila began her journey in medicine as a physical therapy aide while she was still an undergraduate student. For Kaila, it was never a question on whether she would end up in the medical field or not. “I wanted a profession focused on serving my community and caring for others,” she explains. “Becoming an advanced practitioner working with patients every day fit the bill for me.”

One of the reasons Kaila loves healthcare so much is that she gets to meet and interact with new people every day. She also enjoys the fact that she has the opportunity to learn something new every day. “I love the fact that I have been able to continue to grow in my career and learn more about healthcare and caring for others.”

In her work as a hospitalist, Kaila strives to make a positive impact and improve the lives of her patients and their families. “I make an effort to approach every patient with compassion, kindness and respect,” she explains. “It’s most important that my patients are comforted and confident in the care they receive from me.”

When she is not busy helping patients, Kaila enjoys exploring areas of New England with her husband and daughter. She also loves spending time outdoors with her friends.
