Learn more about Behavioral Health at Reliant

Growing up, Florence’s parents emphasized the importance of learning. Her strong educational background led her to explore medicine as a career. “I eventually received advanced training in both adult and geriatric primary care as well as psychiatry, which has allowed me to develop a multidisciplinary approach to patient care,” she explains. “I have been practicing as an advanced practitioner since 2018, working in both primary care and psychiatric settings.”

Florence decided to become an advanced practitioner so she could make a meaningful difference in the lives of her patients. “Initially, I focused on primary care for adults and the elderly,” she explains. “However, I encountered challenges in managing the mental health aspects of my patient’s care. This led me to specialize in psychiatry, allowing me to address both the physical and mental health needs of my patients and their families.”

In her practice, Florence believes in a holistic approach to patient care, focusing on both physical and mental health. “I strive to create a supportive and empathetic environment where patients feel heard and cared for, ensuring their overall well-being is prioritized,” she explains. “The most rewarding aspect of my profession is the ability to help people and make a positive difference in their lives. Knowing that my care can improve a patient’s quality of life is incredibly fulfilling.”

In her spare time, Florence enjoys reading and taking long walks. She also cherishes spending time with her family and being a mother.
