Nayshalis says that her passion for helping others developed while serving her local church community. “I realized the power there was in the simple task of listening and being present. I always knew I wanted to help individuals navigate their emotional needs and be a change agent in the process of supporting others through healing and self-discovery.”
At Reliant, Nayshalis enjoys working with children, families and adults of all ages. She has extensive experience treating children who have behavioral health issues and come from complex family systems. This includes experience with families that have undergone traumatic experiences or face significant challenges with communication. She has also engaged in parenting support training and supported individuals impacted by anxiety, depression and PTSD. “I have a big interest in medical social work and always valued a holistic approach to client care,” she explains. “I believe that our physical, emotional, social and spiritual health are all linked and should be cared for equally.”
In her work Nayshalis likes to emphasize care that revolves around the patient’s needs. “I enjoy being able to provide a safe, emotionally therapeutic space for someone to share their needs and feel heard,” she explains. “I value the opportunity and honor of getting to learn about a person while providing hope and validation.”
In her spare time Nayshalis enjoys being outdoors around nature and spending time with her husband and family. The beach is one of her favorite destinations and she also loves going for long walks with her dog. Nayshalis also loves indoor and outdoor gardening as well as music and singing.
