Effective July 31st, Reliant Medical Group patients with a Reliant MyChart account have been auto-enrolled in paperless billing. This helps to reduce our paper usage and provide more secure and convenient billing options for patients. Patients can opt-out in MyChart at any time and continue to receive paper billing statements in the mail if they prefer. Please read the information below for more details.

Paperless Billing FAQs
Q: What does it mean to transition to paperless billing?
A: For Reliant MyChart users who are the guarantor of an account(s), the default will be set to paperless billing statements. This means bills will be sent via MyChart and no longer by mail. If you prefer paper statements, you can login to MyChart and revert back to paper statements.
*Guarantor is the person responsible for paying the balance of an account
Q: What if I have already said I want paper billing statements?
A: If you’ve already designated that you want to receive paper bills, you will continue to receive them in the mail. Only Reliant patients with a MyChart account will be auto-enrolled in paperless billing, and only if you have not already designated how you’d like to receive statements.
Q: Will patients who do not have a MyChart account automatically be opted-in to paperless billing?
A: No. If patients are not signed up for MyChart, they will continue to receive paper statements.
Q: How will I know I have a bill that needs to be paid?
A: We will let you know when new bills are available to view by sending an email to the email address associated with your MyChart account. The notification will have a “pay now” button that links to the MyChart login page. You can also view your billing activity when you’re logged into MyChart by clicking on the Billing Summary link in the main menu.
Q: What happens if I don’t realize I have a statement ready in MyChart and I miss the due date?
A: Patients will receive a billing statement twice in MyChart. If it has not been opened, Reliant has procedures in place to actively reach out to you with a paper statement. Multiple attempts will be made to ensure that you have seen the bill.
Q: Why is Reliant automatically opting MyChart users in, instead of giving patients a choice?
A: Reliant believes strongly in doing our part to reduce paper usage. In addition, this gives patients convenient access to statements and multiple options for paying their bills. You will always have a choice; we are just changing the default setting. If you prefer paper statements, you can easily opt out of paperless billing through MyChart and continue receiving bills in the mail.
Q: How do I opt out of paperless billing?
A: You can opt out in MyChart by following these instructions. Additionally, Reliant Patient Financial Services representatives can assist patients with opting out if you have trouble opting-out in MyChart. Patients can call (508) 368-5500 during normal business hours.
