Kirajean Frost has been involved in healthcare for many years, working in different positions including as a medical assistant and a nurse. She decided to become an advanced practitioner not only to help and serve others but also to educate and be an advocate for those who need care.
One of the reasons Kirajean chose to become a family nurse practitioner was thatshe wanted to care for entire families, from babies to the elderly. She believes in a strong patient-provider relationship and having open communication to enhance care. “I have always enjoyed following patients through their journey, helping them achieve their goals and building strong relationships with them,” she explains. “I like to educate my patients as much as possible and help improve their quality of life.”
In her work at Reliant, Kirajean likes to take a holistic approach. “I feel strongly that my patients should have an understanding of their overall health so that they are able to advocate for themselves,” she explains. “I believe it is important for me as a caregiver to meet my patients where they stand with their health and knowledge.”
In her spare time Kirajean loves to play ice hockey and watch the Boston Bruins. She also enjoys working out, hiking, biking and other forms of exercise. Other favorite things include spending time with family and friends, cooking, gardening as well as reading and relaxing.
