The procedure typically involves several different procedures performed in multiple stages. Breast reconstruction can be done at the same time as a mastectomy or performed months later. While a reconstructed breast will never look or feel exactly the same as the one that was removed, our highly trained surgeons ensure that your surgery will result in a natural-looking, reconstructed breast.

Breast Reduction

Also known as reduction mammoplasty, this procedure removes excess breast tissue and skin to help contour the breast and to help alleviate the weight associated with large breasts.

Large breasts can cause neck and back pain as well as shoulder pain from bra straps pulling on the joint. In addition, large breasts can affect normal activities such walking or running due to the excess weight and from the breasts being pendulous. Reduction mammoplasty can help alleviate these symptoms and properly proportion the body.

Breast Lift

Breast lift, also known as mastopexy, is a procedure to help restore a more youthful breast shape.

Over time breasts may lose their shape and droop to a lower position on the chest. This is due to changes and loss of elasticity to the structures and skin normally supporting breast tissue. This can occur due to pregnancy, weight loss, and quite simply, gravity.

The mastopexy procedure helps restore a more youthful breast appearance by reshaping the breast tissue and by elevating the nipple to a higher position, thereby increasing its projection.
