Reliant Medical Group Welcomes Dr. Samuel Nordberg to Its Department of Behavioral Health

May 23, 2019– Reliant Medical Group, the locally based multi-specialty medical group, is pleased to announce that Samuel Nordberg, PhD has joined the organization’s Department of Behavioral Health as Chief.

Dr. Nordberg received his PhD at Penn State University in University Park, PA. He then completed his internship at Boston Consortium in Clinical Psychology in Boston, MA, and a post-doctoral fellowship at the Center for Healthcare Organization and Implementation Research at the Boston VA. He is certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology.

Dr. Nordberg came to RMG from Atrius Health, where he was Medical Director for Informatics and Innovation. While at Atrius Health, Dr. Nordberg co-led a team that won the Massachusetts Hospital Association’s Accountable Care COMPASS award for innovation in behavioral health care delivery. At Reliant, Dr. Nordberg will be focused on implementing an embedded primary care/behavioral health model and developing focused specialty behavioral health services for specific patient populations. He is caring for patients at the new Worcester office at 5 Neponset Street.
