As a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a degree in Physical Therapy, Christine Dooley has been a licensed physical therapist for almost four decades, a majority of that time with Reliant Medical Group. After beginning her career in Orthopedics, Christine now treats almost exclusively patients (women, men and children) with pelvic floor disorders. After a thorough history and assessment, treatments may include patient education, therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and biofeedback.
“I came into this new career path gradually at first,” she explains. “As my love of this patient population grew, I have come to focus exclusively on pelvic floor physical therapy for the past decade. Patients may see me for bowel and bladder symptoms, urinary and/or fecal incontinence, pelvic pain in men and women, non-relaxing pelvic floor disorders, post pelvic and prostate surgeries, bedwetting and constipation. I have found it extremely rewarding to help patients with these life changing symptoms, and to offer strategies on an individualized basis.”
