A graduate of Quinnipiac University and Regis College, Emily practiced as a registered nurse for eight years before becoming an advanced practitioner. “I love caring for people and knew working with patients each day was what I wanted to do.
Emily’s area of expertise is Women’s Health, which has been her passion since she was a teenager. “My passion was further solidified when I had my maternity rotation in nursing school,” she explains. “I fell in love with caring for women during such a special, yet vulnerable time of their life. While deciding to go back to school for my NP degree, I shadowed a former professor of mine at the OB-Gyn clinic she practiced at and I knew that it was right for me. I think caring for, educating, and supporting women through all stages of life is very important, which is why I want to contribute in this field.”
Emily believes that every patient deserves to be treated equally, but also uniquely, since no one person is the same. “I believe communication should always be honest and sensitive. Most importantly, I want my patients and their loved ones to know that I believe in treating people the way I would like to be treated. I always want my patients to feel truly cared for and listened to.”
When she is not busy with patients, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband and her pets, which are very dear to her heart. She also enjoys being outdoors, exercising, cheering on the New England Patriots, and being with her supportive family and friends.
