4.9 out of 5 stars - 124 total ratingsChris started his career as a clinical exercise physiologist working in Pulmonology. After a time, he decided to make a career change and become an advanced practitioner in Orthopedics.
“I wanted to build upon my previous experiences but focus more on helping people in a more direct and personal way,” he explains. “My previous education and professional career was focused on sports performance, biomechanics and strength and conditioning,” he explains. “For me, going into Orthopedics was a natural progression. I am fascinated by the science of movement and how to prevent and treat musculoskeletal injuries.”
Chris says that his philosophy is rooted first and foremost on patient-centered care. “I am a big believer in shared decision-making where the treatment plan is created in a collaborative manner that respects a patient’s specific goals and needs,” he explains. Chris is a first-generation Greek-American and speaks Greek fluently. “I appreciate the challenges that non-English speakers face when navigating the healthcare system and I strive to help minimize these challenges.”
Chris enjoys interacting with his patients and having the ability to have a positive impact on their quality of life. “The field of orthopedics is constantly evolving with new technologies and treatment modalities to help patients and I really enjoy the opportunities for life-long learning.”
In his spare time, Chris likes staying active and enjoys running, biking, working out, and playing a variety of sports.
