Reliant Medical Group to Open New Medical Office on Route 9 in Shrewsbury

State-of-the-art 31,000-square-foot Facility to Replace Existing Sites on Lake Avenue and Plantation Street in Worcester

March 15, 2019 – Reliant Medical Group will open its newest medical office Monday, March 18, in the former Fairlawn Plaza on Route 9 in Shrewsbury (recently renamed MarketPlace Shrewsbury). The opening of the new, state-of-the-art 31,000-square-foot space, at 378 Maple Ave., marks the culmination of a series of new site openings that Reliant has completed over the last 18 months.

“Several years ago, Reliant began a major, multiyear initiative to transform the way we deliver care,” said Tarek Elsawy, M.D., Reliant’s president and CEO.  “With the completion of our Shrewsbury site, we will have opened eight new facilities – and remodeled a number of others – across Central Massachusetts, creating a more modern, convenient and efficient care delivery system for our patients and our care providers.”

This new site allows Reliant to relocate some of its existing Worcester-based practices to a comprehensive facility that’s conveniently located along Route 9. The departments that are moving to Shrewsbury include Lake Avenue North Internal Medicine, Lake Avenue North Lab and Plantation Street Pediatrics. Radiology services will also be available on site.
