Joan Arakelian had been a nurse since 1986 and is a graduate of the Saint Vincent Hospital School of Nursing, Assumption College and the UMass Graduate School of Nursing. She became a Nurse Practitioner in 2008.
Joan’s first experience as a nurse was in the Coronary Intensive Care Unit at Saint Vincent Hospital and during her career she has worked in the Emergency Department, Cardiac Catheterization Lab and the Electrophysiology Lab. Joan became a Nurse Practitioner because she wanted to expand her role in caring for cardiac patients and believed that being an Advanced Practitioner would be more fulfilling.
Joan strives to meet the physical and emotional needs of her patients as she works closely with them. She finds her colleagues at Reliant Medical Group to be very supportive, encouraging and helpful. Joan enjoys spending her free time with her family as well as cooking and vacationing in New Hampshire.
