Eyelid Surgery
Now the most common facial plastic surgery procedure, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) can significantly improve your facial appearance and give you a more refreshed look.
As we age, the skin around our eyes in particular becomes loose, and begins to sag. Sometimes excess skin on the upper lid can actually interfere with your vision and the application of eyeliner and mascara. It can also contribute to a tired, sad or even angry look. Upper lid blepharoplasty is a procedure which removes excess skin, and, sometimes, excess fat over the eyes in order to restore a youthful eyelid contour. Lower lid blepharoplasty can accomplish similar results. Occasionally, upper lid blepharoplasty can be done to improve your peripheral vision. This requires a special eye test done by the ophthalmologists.

Face Lift
A facelift, also known as rhytidectomy, is a very commonly performed facial plastic surgery procedure. As we age, the skin, muscle, and fat pads in the face gradually descend. Facelifts can remove or reposition this excess fat, and remove the excess skin for a better contour around the jaw and neckline. In the past, many facelifts have been overdone with too much tension on the facial skin, resulting in a “windswept” look. Our procedure hides incisions, and minimizes risks while giving you a very natural looking improvement in your appearance. This newer technique repositions the deeper tissues in the face allowing a tension free closure on the skin, and a better, longer lasting result. The incisions are typically hidden around the ear, in the hairline, and under the chin. Liposuction is frequently done at the same time to further improve the appearance of your neckline.
A facelift is typically performed under sedation or a general anesthetic in an outpatient surgery center. You may need to spend a night in the hospital for monitoring after the procedure. You should expect to feel well within the first two to three days after surgery. However, because of the postoperative bruising and swelling you will want to have two weeks of recovery time available.

Forehead Lift
With aging, there tends to be a descent of muscle, fat and skin of the face.
As the skin and muscles of the forehead begin to lose their strength, the eyebrows can become heavy, and begin to droop. This can result in a sad, tired or angry appearance. It can also contribute to wrinkling across the forehead and between the eyes. A forehead lift is a good option to reposition the eyebrows, giving a more youthful and refreshed look. Some forehead lifts can often be overdone, resulting in a surprised look. We strive for a subtle, natural and pleasing appearance.
Most forehead lifts take between one and two hours of surgery performed in an outpatient surgery center. Usually, you will be able to go home the same day. Recovery time is usually one to two weeks. You will feel well within the first two or three days, but will have some bruising, which may take up to two weeks to resolve.

Ear Surgery
Otoplasty (cosmetic ear surgery) is a very common procedure to correct protruding ears in both children and adults. It refers to reshaping and refining the external appearance of the ears to make them symmetric and in balance with the rest of your facial features.
There are numerous factors during development that may contribute to malformed or protruding ears. During development, both ears develop separately, allowing for differences between the two ears. There are many changes that occur during the developmental process that may result in asymmetric appearance. Some ears protrude too much from the head, some have floppy cartilages, and some lack the usual folds in the cartilage which are necessary to maintain the normal shape of an ear. Having corrective ear surgery will not change your hearing ability.

Nose Surgery
Rhinoplasty is one of the most common and also one of the most complex procedures performed in facial plastic surgery.
This procedure can be done to change the appearance of your nose (cosmetic) or to improve your breathing (functional), or a combination of both. Most patients will be able to have their breathing improved and their appearance enhanced during the same procedure. It is very important to discuss the goals of your surgery with the surgeon ahead of time. Each patient is looking for different refinements in the nose, and communicating your ideas is an important part of the initial consultation.
Most reconstructive or functional rhinoplasty surgeries will take around three hours. Cosmetic rhinoplasty surgeries typically take about two hours. This may be longer, depending on the complexity of the surgery, particularly if you have already had a previous rhinoplasty. Great care is taken to ensure the nose is properly sculpted to fit your goals. Most of our procedures are done in an outpatient surgery center while you are asleep under a general anesthetic. This is the safest and most comfortable approach for this type of surgery.

Scar Revision
Many people are self-conscious about scars, especially on the face. Scars can be made less apparent through scar revision.
Good candidates for scar revision are healthy patients with realistic expectations. It is important to understand that a scar cannot be completely removed – it is permanent. However, the appearance of a scar can be improved through different procedures. The goal of scar revision is to make a scar less noticeable by blending the scar with the surrounding skin, repositioning it, or making it narrower.
Different skin tones, skin types, and the location of the scar will all contribute to the final result. Your surgeon will evaluate the scar, and explain the advantages and disadvantages of each option with you in order to formulate the best plan for improving your scar.
