Dr. Trung Le was inspired to go into medicine by two of his uncles, both of whom were family doctors. “After seeing the skill and compassion they showed to their patients, I really wanted to emulate them and become a physician,” he explains.

Dr. Le was attracted to plastic surgery in his 3rd year of medical school, after being involved in the care of a woman who had breast cancer. “After the plastic surgeon performed breast reconstruction on her, you could see a big difference in terms of how she viewed herself and her relationship with her husband. It was very inspiring.”

A strong believer in establishing clear communication and understanding between the surgeon and the patient, Dr. Le always strives to be actively involved in a patient’s care. “If needed, I will have patients come back for multiple consultations before any decision is made. This gives them time to ask questions and think about a procedure and decide for themselves if this is what they want to do.”

Dr. Le likes to utilize the latest scientific knowledge and technology and apply that to his patients’ care. An example is minimally invasive procedures such as Botox® injections or facial fillers. “For the right patients, minimally invasive procedures can be really beneficial. There is minimal down time, so patients can have the procedure and still go back to work the same day.” Other popular surgeries that Dr. Le performs are facial aesthetic surgery procedures such as facelifts, eyelid surgery, ear surgery and nasal surgery; breast surgery such as breast reconstruction, breast reduction, breast augmentation and breast lifts; and body contouring surgery such as liposuction, arm lifts and tummy tucks.

No matter what type of procedure he is preparing for, Dr. Le enjoys the collegial working atmosphere at Reliant Medical Group. The multi-specialty setting allows him to easily collaborate with other specialists. For example, Dr. Le works with the bariatric surgeons to provide body contouring to patients who have had massive weight loss and with general surgeons to provide breast reconstruction for patients who have had mastectomies.

When Dr. Le is not busy with his patients, he enjoys spending time with his family, who are also in the Northeast. He also enjoys working out to keep fit and healthy.
