Caitlin first began her career in medicine as a phlebotomist and later became a registered nurse working in Hematology/Oncology. She later decided she could do more for her patients as an advanced practitioner. “I love the connection with patients,” she explains. “Ever since I was a phlebotomist at Heywood Hospital/Cooley Dickinson when I was in college, I found the relationship with oncology patients to be so rewarding.”
As a nurse practitioner, Caitlin likes to involve her patients in the decision-making process. “I always make a point to listen to patients’ concerns and fears. I direct my treatment based on their goals of care and I strive to help my patients have more good days than bad. I try to help them lead a life they enjoy and treat their side effects and other issues to the best of my ability using my knowledge and experience.”
When she is not busy with patients Caitlin enjoys being with her three children and their dog “Miles.” She loves outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, boating and swimming and also loves to read, travel, and spend time with friends and family.
