Overall Patient Rating
4.8 out of 5 stars - 81 total ratingsLaura Cleary started her career in medicine as an EMT then transitioned to work at a local hospital before beginning her training as an advanced practitioner. She now enjoys caring for patients in Reliant’s Family Practice department. “I always knew that I wanted to be more involved in my patient’s care. I loved the care that I was able to provide for my patients before. However, I knew that I wanted a role with more autonomy and responsibility. Working as a physician assistant in Family Medicine, I appreciate all that I am able to do for my patients.”
Laura has always loved the intricacies of treating patients and practicing medicine. “It’s rewarding when I can make a complex diagnosis, but also very fulfilling to treat health problems that are commonly seen,” she explains. “Having the opportunity to improve a patient’s health and quality of life, whether the condition is simple or complex, is what makes being an advanced practitioner so interesting.”
At Reliant, Laura strives to develop strong relationships with her patients. “Working in family medicine allows me to see patients of all ages. I enjoy forming strong, trusting bonds with all my patients and their family members. “I do realize building trust takes time,” she explains. “That’s why I believe that it’s imperative to remain unbiased and judgement-free with my patients. I think building a strong foundation of trust allows for better patient care over the lifespan.”
When she is not busy helping patients, Laura loves to travel and enjoy the outdoors. “I love hiking, traveling to national parks, camping, and rock climbing,” she explains. Some of Laura’s other hobbies include landscape photography and thrifting for vintage items and antiques. One of her goals is to see all of the national parks in America.

This PA actually listened to my concerns; didn't waste my time; recognized the value of my time, health & money in referring me back to a specialist I had seen for a similar issue in 2019 rather than a string of useless procedures.
