Richa started her career in medicine as a travel nurse, working all over the country. This introduced her to many different aspects of caregiving and she eventually made the decision to go back to school and become an advanced practitioner. “I wanted to be more involved in diagnosing all the different diseases and conditions that affect people as well as treat them,” she explains. “Becoming an advanced practitioner enabled me to do that.”
Richa enjoys being a family nurse practitioner because it allows her to work with patients of all ages and in various healthcare settings. “I have practiced in allergy, asthma, and immunology over the past five years and now will be working in gastroenterology,” she explains. “I believe the health of the gastrointestinal tract is very important to our overall health and well-being.”
In her practice at Reliant Richa enjoys educating patients and their families about various conditions, medications, and procedures. “I think the more a patient understands about their condition the easier it will be to successfully treat it,” she explains.
In her spare time Richa enjoys traveling, hiking, cooking and spending time with her family.
