Ashley became a nurse practitioner because she wanted to have a more substantial impact on the lives of others. “Early in my career as an ICU nurse, I developed a strong desire to understand and manage the complex conditions I encountered at the bedside,” she explains. “With the guidance of my physician mentors, I continued my studies so I could expand my ability to diagnose, treat, and educate patients.”
At Reliant, Ashley enjoys working in Internal Medicine because it provides the perfect blend of challenge, collaboration, and continuous learning. “I enjoy the complexity of working in this field,” she explains. “Every patient is unique, and solutions often require a team-based approach. I am especially passionate about pharmacology and finding safe, effective ways to treat patients using as few medications as possible.”
Ashley is a strong believer in providing patient-centered, family-focused care. “I strive to empower patients through education, helping them to understand their diagnoses, treatments, and options so they can take an active role in their health,” she explains. “Building trust and clear communication are at the heart of how I serve my patients. Helping others is what truly drives me. Whether it’s guiding a patient through a new diagnosis or simply providing reassurance, every interaction is an opportunity to make a difference. Knowing I’ve helped improve someone’s health or quality of life is the most rewarding part of my work.”
When she is not busy treating patients, Ashley treasures family time with her husband and their son, daughter and pet dog. She also loves being outdoors enjoying nature, playing tennis, and swimming.
