Cheryl started her career as an occupational therapy assistant before going back to school to become an occupational therapist. “I decided to continue my education in order to become more involved in people’s care and have more opportunities to dive deeper into the field of occupational therapy,” she explains. “I believe in taking into consideration all health conditions and experiences when working with patients. I encourage people to speak up about their health goals and treatment preferences. I want each patient to be part of the process.”
Cheryl has experience in helping patients improve their neurology, orthopedic, incontinence, and cognition problems. While she is new to outpatient services, she has a great deal of experience helping patients who are age 55+. “What I like most about my profession is addressing people’s health challenges to improve their quality of life and the variety of ways that can be achieved. I really love being an occupational therapist.”
