“It’s really satisfying to help a patient improve their quality of life.”
As a clinical allergist and immunologist, Dr. Jaspreet Benipal enjoys empowering patients to take a bigger role in their health. After graduating medical school, she completed a pediatrics residency and then went on to do a fellowship in allergy and immunology. “I really enjoy helping children and adults with their allergy and immunology issues,” she explains. “I can help people with a range of disorders from common allergic rhinitis to rare complex immunodeficiencies. Being able to improve a patient’s quality of life really brings me joy.”
Dr. Benipal takes a patient-centered approach to care that prioritizes understanding and provides a personalized treatment plan. “I believe in open communication, actively listening to my patients’ concerns, and working closely with them to come up with a treatment plant that is specific to their needs,” she explains. “By staying up-to-date on the latest advancements, I aim to provide comprehensive care that improves my patient’s quality of life.” Some of the conditions Dr. Benipal can treat include allergic rhinitis, allergic asthma, life-threatening food and drug allergies, immunodeficiencies, eczema, hives and angioedema.
One of the things that Dr. Benipal enjoys the most about her job is when a patient tells her that her care has improved their quality of life. “Patients will tell me that they were able to get a good night’s sleep and then function better at work or at school during the day because their allergies were better managed,” she explains. “It’s really satisfying to help a patient improve their quality of life.”
In her spare time Dr. Benipal enjoys traveling, dancing, and cooking up new recipes.
