A graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, Julie Flaherty has been a physical therapist since 1995. Julie enjoys educating patients about their physical impairments and helping them improve their abilities. Julie works with patients on all aspects of physical therapy and is certified in vestibular rehabilitation. She prides herself on making a difference in someone’s life and getting them back to the activities they enjoy most. “For me, working as a physical therapist is really about helping people. Plus, I really enjoy physical activity myself, and I think that helps me working with my patients everyday.” Julie’s main job is to assess her patients’ muscle skeletal structure and daily function in regard to their particular life style and help them maximize their potential. In addition to assisting patients, Julie also works with students in her role as Clinical Coordinator of the Student Physical Therapy Program.
