Learn more about the Advanced Practice Clinician Collaborative
Ashley began working in the medical field while she was still a teenager. She started as a certified nursing assistant when she was just sixteen years old and later became a registered nurse. After deciding she wanted to have a bigger impact on her patient’s overall care, she returned to MCPHS to become an advanced practitioner. “I enjoy being an advanced practitioner because it allows me to practice with more autonomy,” she explains. “This way, I can better tailor my care for each patient’s individual needs.”
Ashely chose to work in Family Practice medicine because it allows her to care for patients throughout their lifespan. “It allows me an opportunity to get to know my patients over the years and use that knowledge to provide better care,” she explains. “The more I know about a patient’s lifestyle, health habits, and their overall health goals, the better care I can provide.” In her practice Ashley believes in educating her patients as much as possible. “I enjoy providing guidance and education so patients can have the knowledge to make important healthcare decisions for themselves.”
In her spare time Ashley enjoys going to the gym, reading a good book, and spending time at the beach when the weather is warm. She also enjoys running 5K road races with her mother.
