Prior to becoming a physician assistant (PA), Dan worked as a medical assistant in Urology as well as a respiratory aide and an ophthalmic assistant. Before receiving his PA degree, he obtained a Master of Public Health from George Washington University.
As a member of the Family Medicine department at Reliant, Dan believes in advocating for a patient’s best interests as well as educating them on options to improve their health. “Not only in terms of treatment or surgeries, but also regarding prevention and the social determinants of health,” he explains. “Family medicine to me is an area that allows for a wide range of patient care and provides the opportunity to reach patients before a disease occurs or progresses. I have always wanted to be that first point of contact that can help direct individuals to the proper care they need.”
Dan strives to ensure that each patient has the necessary information to make the best decisions for their health. “I like to tailor my care approach to each individual situation,” he explains. “I believe in taking a patient-centered approach with an emphasis on education and disease prevention.”
During his free time Dan enjoys playing golf and watching sports. He also likes to read both fiction and non-fiction. Dan also loves to travel when he has the opportunity.
