After working many years as a registered nurse, Deborah decided to become an advanced practitioner. “I wanted to expand my role as a nurse to better serve my patients by not only caring for them but by providing comprehensive care for them and their families,” she explains.

Deborah is a strong believer in making her patients part of the care process. “My philosophy of care is to really listen to my patients and their families. Only then can I really understand what their needs are and together with them formulate a plan of care that incudes their physical, emotional and mental needs. I want to be able to care for the whole patient not just their physical needs.”

In her spare time Deborah enjoys being with her husband, four children, and her granddaughter as well as their two dogs. She also enjoys reading, gardening and swimming.
