65 or Older? Avoiding Serious Respiratory Illness is as Easy as 1-2-3!

COVID-19 and other dangerous respiratory viruses are active and spreading in our community right now.

If you are age 65 or older, you have a higher risk of being hospitalized or even dying from COVID-19, the flu and RSV. In addition, your risk increases significantly if you suffer from any of the following medical conditions:

  • History of stroke
  • Chronic kidney disease and dialysis
  • Chronic lung problems (asthma, COPD, etc.)
  • Chronic liver problems
  • Diabetes and/or obesity
  • Smoking (current and former)

All of us at Reliant want you to stay as safe and healthy as possible this winter season.  Follow these three steps to avoid serious illness:

If you need more at-home COVID-19 test kits, you can order for free here: www.covid.gov/tests

Your Reliant healthcare team is always here to help you. Please call us, even if it’s after-hours or on weekends if you have questions about your health. And don’t forget that Virtual ReadyMED offers online appointments through MyChart from 7am – 11pm seven days a week for patients who have a Reliant PCP!
