Justine has long had an interest in medicine and helping others. She started her career as a registered nurse, working in trauma centers and emergency rooms. “I knew that when I was 15 I wanted to go into nursing and work in urgent care and ERs,” she explains. “However, after a decade of that work I wanted to do more and decided to became an advanced practitioner. I believe there is always something new to learn in the medical world, and I enjoy consistently learning and expanding my knowledge base. Becoming a nurse practitioner allowed me to do more for patients and keep my core approach to caring.”
Justine enjoys being able to see patients of all ages as a family nurse practitioner. “I really enjoy working in Family Practice medicine,” she explains. “One of the things I like most about my profession is the fulfillment I get in assisting patients who are going through some of their most difficult days and experiences. To be able to be a beacon of hope for patients and families in a difficult time is very fulfilling for me.”
When she is not busy helping patients, Justine enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. A former star high school and college softball player, Justine now enjoys coaching her daughter. She and her family also enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, hiking and driving their ATVs.
