A certified nurse midwife, Mayssa has always been very passionate about reproductive health and caring for patients. “I love family planning, managing pregnancy and postpartum issues, as well as being able to care for babies and families during that vulnerable time,” she explains. “I really enjoy getting to know my patients and seeing them for their annual appointments, ensuing pregnancies, as well as helping them through the different stages of menopause when that time arrives.”

In her practice at Reliant Medical Group Mayssa is a big believer in patient-centered care. “One of the things I do when working with a patient is make sure they understand all their different options for care,” she explains. “I like educating my patients and providing them with the services and care they need in a timely manner. I try to make sure my patients have a positive experience whether it is in the delivery room or in the exam room. Some of the procedures that Mayssa can perform in the office to help patients include IUD insertions, Nexplanon insertions, and endometrial biopsies.

In her free time Mayssa enjoys reading books and going to the beach with her children and partner.
