"I’ve always loved learning about the body and how it works."

Dr. Abigail Bose is a neurologist who is dedicated to helping patients better understand and manage their neurologic conditions. Her interest in medicine grew from a lifelong curiosity about how the body works and a passion for sharing that knowledge with others. “I’ve always loved learning about the body and how it works,” she says. “I believe the more people can understand about what is going on in their body, the less scary and unpredictable it is when changes occur.”

Neurology appealed to Dr. Bose because it is central to how people think, move, and interact with the world around them. She enjoys caring for patients with a wide range of conditions and values the combination of problem-solving, lifelong learning, and meaningful patient relationships the specialty offers. She believes patient education is an important part of care and works closely with each individual to ensure they understand their diagnosis and treatment options.

To further her knowledge, Dr. Bose completed a clinical fellowship in Neuromuscular Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Her specialty interests include conditions affecting the peripheral nervous system, such as neuropathy, radiculopathy, myasthenia gravis, and muscle diseases. She also performs electromyography (EMG) studies to help diagnose disorders affecting nerves and muscles. In addition to her subspecialty expertise, she evaluates and treats many general neurologic conditions.

Dr. Bose enjoys practicing in Central Massachusetts and working closely with her Reliant colleagues. For Dr. Bose, the most rewarding part of medicine is the opportunity to continually learn about her specialty while helping improve the lives of her patients each day.

Outside of work, Dr. Bose enjoys staying active through exercise and spending time outdoors. She also loves cooking and sharing good food with family and friends.
