Dr. Henry K. Henczel is a graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is one of the few podiatric surgeons in the country to have completed four years of podiatric postgraduate surgical training.

Dr. Henczel is board-certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. With more than 24 years of experience, Dr. Henczel has built a distinguished career as a practicing podiatric surgeon. He values not only the clinical aspect of podiatry but also the opportunity to meet and treat patients of all ages and backgrounds.

His clinical interests include elective foot surgery, trauma surgery of the foot, and diabetic foot salvage and reconstruction. Dr. Henczel’s interest in podiatric medicine began at a young age following a visit to his family podiatrist. Even then, he found the profession fascinating.

Compassion is central to Dr. Henczel’s approach to care. He recognizes that for many patients, a medical appointment may be their primary social interaction of the day. “I listen carefully to their foot concerns as well as what’s going on in their lives,” he explains. “I truly enjoy getting to know my patients.”

Dr. Henczel’s practice also includes the treatment of children with various pathologies of the feet. “I evaluate pediatric patients with various conditions. Since the foot bones in children are still maturing they can be injured easily through overuse in sporting activities,” he notes.

For Dr. Henczel, being a podiatric surgeon is a deeply rewarding profession that he has grown to love. “I truly feel that I am making a difference in people’s lives,” he says. “This is what makes my work so fulfilling.”
