Overall Patient Rating
4.8 out of 5 stars - 110 total ratingsJon started his career as nurse and noticed that there was a need for more multilingual providers, which helped inspire him to become a nurse practitioner (Jon speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese.) “I chose to practice in primary care because it offers the opportunity to continuously apply and expand the broad range of medical knowledge and skills I have acquired.”
Jon once had a mentor who told him that if you listen to patients, they will tell you what the problem is. “That’s why my philosophy of care centers on attentive listening and empowering patients,” he explains. “I believe in giving patients the time to express themselves fully, ensuring they feel heard and valued. I also emphasize highlighting their strengths to encourage active participation in their health journey.”
One of the things that Jon likes the most about being an advanced practitioner is the opportunity to guide patients towards discovering solutions to their different health challenges. “I enjoy contributing toward their journey to a healthier life, knowing that my specific plan of care is instrumental in helping them improve.”
When he is not busy helping patients, Jon enjoys spending time with his family, snowboarding in the winter, as well as camping and cycling in the summer.

This provider was very thorough in review of my medications, which I appreciated. Options were provided rather than "orders" which I also appreciated.
